University of Portland Announces Basketball Radio Partnership with Sports 910 AM (KMTT)

The University of Portland and Entercom Portland, LLC have entered a partnership that will make the newly launched Sports 910 AM (KMTT) the exclusive radio home of University of Portland men's basketball, it was announced on Friday. In addition to game coverage, a weekly 30-minute Portland Pilots Basketball Show featuring head coach Eric Reveno will launch on Monday, November 4 and run throughout the season.
"This is a rewarding partnership that positions our basketball program for great exposure as part of an all sports lineup," said Portland Athletic Director, Scott Leykam. "It is exciting to be a part of the launch of 910 AM and to build a strong partnership with Entercom. The commitment from Entercom to provide a quality platform for games, as well as weekly programming, will showcase our men's basketball product at unprecedented levels."

Bill Johnson will return to the sidelines as the voice of the Pilots for his fourth consecutive year and 21st overall season calling Portland men's basketball. All games will be aired live on Sports 910 AM with an audio simulcast streamed on PortlandPilots.com. Each broadcast with feature a 30-minute pregame show as well as 30-minute postgame show with player and coach interviews. Â
The Portland Pilots Basketball Show will be aired weekly at 7 p.m. every Monday throughout the basketball season, barring game or travel conflicts. The 30-minute show will feature Bill Johnson in-studio along with head coach Eric Reveno and other guests. Fans will be able to call in with questions and comments about Pilot hoops during the show.
Portland opens the regular season on Friday, Nov. 8 against UC Davis with a 7:30 p.m. tipoff. A pair of road games against Oregon State (Nov. 13) and then No. 2 Michigan State (Nov. 18) is followed by the team hosting a four-team Coaches vs. Cancer Classic tournament at the Chiles Center with Columbia, Idaho and North Texas on Nov. 21-23.
The West Coast Conference men's basketball schedule begins Dec. 28 at home against San Francisco. The WCC schedule features five teams returning from postseason action last season and will conclude with the WCC Basketball Championships held in Las Vegas, Nev. at the Orleans Arena on March 6-11.
Head coach Eric Reveno, back for his eighth season on The Bluff, returns four starters and six of his top seven scorers from last year's team. WCC honorable mention forward Ryan Nicholas is a senior after leading the team in scoring and rebounding each of the last two seasons. Reveno also added four talented newcomers to the roster in the offseason.
