PORTLAND, Ore--- The Portland Pilots men’s and women’s track teams will send six 10,000 meter specialists to Palo Alto, Calif. this Thursday to compete in the Stanford Invitational.
Competing for the men will be David Perry, Woody Kincaid, and Robert Krebs. The three men will face some of the most elite competition in the country Friday night when they take the track.
Heading up the women’s contingent is Lyndy Davis, Gina Paletta, and Kellie Houser. The women’s race is also chocked full of the nation’s best and this trio has prepared for this race since early this year.
“It’s been so motivating for the three of us to train together… Hopefully we’re able to show that hard work on Friday night.” Said Paletta.
The gun goes off for the women’s race at 8:58 p.m. (PST) and 9:36 p.m. (PST) for the men’s race.
