Fuchs, Hoath Honored Prior to Match

PORTLAND, Ore. --- Portland seniors Sabine Fuchs and Valeska Hoath were honored as part of Senior Day and the Pilots gave No. 58 Santa Clara all they could handle before falling 4-3 at the Louisiana-Pacific Tennis Center.

Fuchs went out with her second straight win, a three set thriller over Alex Zaniewski at the No. 3 position. Anastasia Polyakova and Saroop Dhatt also pulled out singles victories for the second straight day, but the Broncos (12-8) were able to take the doubles point and hold on for the win.

Portland will now prepare for the WCC Championships scheduled for April 25-27 in San Diego, Calif.
