Tansey Lystad will compete for the Pilots in the women's 3,000-meter steeplechase after finishing 11
th at the NCAA First Round in Fayetteville, Ark., two weeks ago.

"I'm excited to have the opportunity to be running at Nationals," said Lystad. "I love racing the steeple, and this has been something I've been working towards for over a year. I can't wait to get out there tomorrow and see what I can do."

She will race in the semifinal tomorrow evening at 6:45 p.m. and if she finishes in the top-5 of her heat, she will race in the finals of the event on Friday.

"Tansey is really excited to race, especially in Eugene," said head women's coach Ian Solof. "Making the final will be tough but that's the first goal. She has shown her toughness in every race this season and I know she will give everything she has tomorrow."
