SEATTLE, Wash. --- The Portland Pilots men's and women's track & field teams were at the UW Preview on Saturday. Anne Luijten set a PR in the mile for the women's side, while Trent Mazelli set a school record in the 600m with a time of 1:21.54.

Luijten's PR of 4:49.78 gave her an 11^th overall finish and Anna Farello took second in her heat with a time of 5:05.24. The 600m featured Andrea Theriau taking second in her heat and 18^th overall with a time of 1:40.00. Christina Francisco placed 2^nd in her 400m heat with a time of 1:00.35.

In the 200m, Madison Leek placed 22^nd overall with a time of 25.79. Two Portland 4x800m teams competed with the team of Taryn Rawlings, Anne Luijten, Andrea Theriau, and Emily Peterson took second with a time of 9:26.26.

On the men's side, Cobie Chavez-Killinger took 3^rd in his heat and 10^th overall with a time of 2:28.17 in the 1,000m. Said Guermali took 6^th in his mile heat with a time of 4:22.79 and Jack Welch was 12^th overall in the 400m with a time of 49.70. Brent Knutzen, Malcolm Roux, Cobie Chavez-Killinger, and Trent Mazelli placed third with a time of 7:49.69 in the men's 4x800m.

Nathan DeVaughn leaped 21-00.50 in the long jump to finish 18^th. In the final heat of the day for the Pilots, Portland took spots three through six in the 3,000m with Logan Orndorf leading the way in 3^rd with a time of 8:35.33.

The Pilots will next be in action at the UW Invite on Jan. 29-30 in Seattle, Wash.
