SAN BRUNO, Calif.
– Senior guard Max Livingston and sophomore forward Gabe Taylor earned West Coast Conference Men's Basketball All-Academic Team honors, the league announced on Friday. Livingston earned first team recognition, while Taylor was an honorable mention pick.
Livingston has a 3.66 cumulative grade point average and is scheduled to graduate this May with a degree in marketing. The Lake Oswego, Ore. native has started two games this season and made 20 total appearances. He scored a season-high nine points against Abilene Christian. Livingston will be recognized as part of Senior Night tomorrow against Pacific.
Taylor, a Newberg, Ore. native, has started all 28 games this season for the Pilots and is average 7.6 points and 3.9 rebounds per game. He has posted a 3.18 grade point average and is planning to major in business.
At the conclusion of each athletic season, the WCC selects an all-academic squad for each WCC-sponsored sport. To be considered, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, while also being a significant contributor to his team.
