TOURNAMENT CENTRALÂ
SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference has announced the brackets and game times for the 2016 WCC Basketball Championships at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas and the No. 7 seed Portland Pilots will face second seed Gonzaga in a quarterfinals matchup on Saturday at 9 p.m. The game will be televised live on ESPN2.

All four quarterfinals games will take place on Saturday with No. 6 Santa Clara vs. No. 3 BYU at 1 p.m. Pepperdine is the fourth seed, and will open tournament play against fifth seed San Francisco in the second game of Saturday's early session.
The night session features the No. 1 Saint Mary's Gaels against the play-in winner of LMU and San Diego at 7 p.m., and then concludes with the Pilots and Gonzaga.
There will be no games on Sunday, March 6, and the tournament resumes with the semifinals on Monday, March 7. The championship game is slated for Tuesday, March 8 at 6 p.m.

Saint Mary's and Gonzaga finished as the WCC men's basketball regular season co-champions with identical 15-3 records, but the Gaels claimed the top seed with a season sweep over the Bulldogs. BYU took third place with a 13-5 mark for the second consecutive season.

Portland and Loyola Marymount tied with identical 6-12 records, but the Pilots claim the seventh seed with a season sweep over the Lions.
For the third straight year, every game from the 2016 West Coast Conference Championships will be nationally televised.

For the second straight year, Time Warner Cable SportsNet, the home of the Los Angeles Lakers, will televise the first two men's quarterfinals on Saturday. These broadcasts can also be seen on Comcast SportsNet Bay Area with ROOT Sports Northwest airing the 1 p.m. game as well. The two men's evening quarterfinals will be televised on ESPN2 beginning at 7 p.m.

On Monday, one men's semifinal will air at 6 p.m. on ESPN, with the other semifinal immediately to follow on ESPN2. The order of Monday's semifinals is to be determined following Saturday's games.

On Tuesday, the women's championship game will be shown nationwide at 1 p.m. on ESPNU. At 6 p.m., the West Coast Conference men's championship game will air live on ESPN. All ESPN Networks telecasts can also be seen live on WatchESPN.

The winner of the 2016 West Coast Conference Basketball Championship will receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
