SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – The UC Santa Barbara Gauchos defeated the Portland Pilots 4-0 in non-conference women's tennis action Thursday afternoon at the Rec Center Courts. The loss snaps a three-match win streak for Portland (4-6), while the Gauchos (6-5) have won four of their last five.

UCSB secured the doubles point with wins at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions and then won the bottom three singles matches to clinch the team victory.

Portland's Lucia Butkovska was up a set at No. 1 singles when the match was decided and remains unbeated with a 6-0 dual singles record.

Freshman Radina Dimitrova won the second set at No. 2 singles to force a third, while senior Maja Mladenovic was tied in the third set at 1-1 at completion.

The Gauchos won in straight sets at the No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6 singles spots.

Portland will return home to host the No. 69 Washington State Cougars on Sunday at 11:30 a.m. at the Mountain Park Racquet Club in Lake Oswego, Ore.
