SAN BRUNO, Calif. --- Seniors Maggie Keller and Molly Templin were both voted to the 2016 All-West Coast Conference Preseason Women's Rowing Team, while Gonzaga was selected to win the 2016 WCC rowing championship in a preseason poll of the league's seven head coaches. The Pilots were selected fifth in the preseason poll.

After advancing to the NCAA Championship for the second time in three seasons in 2015, the defending WCC Champion Bulldogs earned 36 points and the maximum six first place votes, while 2014 WCC Champion San Diego followed with 31 points and the remaining first place vote for the second place spot.

Saint Mary's and Loyola Marymount each collected 23 points for a share of third place in the preseason poll, while Portland received 17 votes. Santa Clara (10 points), and Creighton (7 points) rounded out the poll.
