BLOOMINGTON, Ind. --- Seniors Jeff Thies and Matt Welch, along with junior Logan Orndorf each recorded new 5000m indoor personal records after competing at the Hoosier Open, Friday afternoon in the Harry Gladstein Fieldhouse.
 
"The guys did a wonderful job," said head coach Rob Conner. "Coming off the NCAA championships and sticking with the training like they have is to be commended. We got three pr's today so that was fantastic. Now they will have recovery week and final to look forward to."
 
Thies finished second overall in the race with a time of 14:00.55, moving up to fifth all-time in the indoor records. Orndorf (14:07.16) and Welch (14:09.19) finished fifth and sixth, followed by Webb who was just behind them in eighth (14:22.48).
