CORVALLIS, Ore. --- The Portland Pilots men's and women's track and field teams concluded their final day of competition at the OSU High Performance meet at the Whyte Track & Field with convincing showings in the short distance events.

"A number of people continued their strong seasons with excellent performances," said women's head coach Ian Solof. "Kaylie Van Loo had a good series in the javelin, Grace Bley ran a nice pr in the 100, and Madison Leek broke 25 seconds in the 200 for the first time."

Senior Corissa Turley and freshman Michal Jones each also made their debut appearances in the triple jump and 100m hurdles, respectively. Turley posted a mark of 10.93m, while Jones finished her race in 15.30.

Sophomore Jack Welch was also the only Pilot to compete on the men's side, recording a personal record in the 800m in 1:57.67.

The Pilots will next compete on May 4-6 at the West Coast Invite, Oregon Twilight, and Oxy Invitational.
