PORTLAND, Ore. --- The men's and women's track and field teams will continue their outdoor season at the John Knight Twilight Friday at McArthur Field in Monmouth, Ore.
 
The Portland 5000m men recorded over six new personal records at the Willamette Invite a few weekends ago, while sophomore Trent Mazelli and redshirt freshman Sam Lomax each placed in the top of their heats in the 1500m. Mazelli will run the 800m tomorrow and a large group of Pilots will compete again in the 1500m, with redshirt sophomore Nick Hauger making his first outdoor appearance in the event.
 
"This will be Nick Hauger's season debut," said men's head coach Rob Conner. "He is going to run the 1500 and is making quick fitness progress toward the goal of qualifying for regionals later in the season in either the 5000 or 10,000."
 
Junior Parkes Kendrick, who competed at the Stanford Invitational last weekend in the 1500m, will race tomorrow for the first time this season in the 3000m steeplechase along with sophomore Dylan Hite.
 
"This is our last smaller meet of the year before we head to Mt Sac next week," said women's head coach Ian Solof. "I'm excited to see how our sprinters are progressing and we will also see Parkes Kendrick make her debut in the steeplechase."
