BIETIGHEIM, Germany. --- Redshirt Junior Lauren LaRocco set an impressive personal record this past week, taking first in the 5000m at the Abendsportfest der LG Neckar-Enz meet in Bietigheim, Germany. LaRocco completed the race in 15:38.81 to surpass her pervious personal best by 16 seconds. Her time is also superior to the current 5000m UP record of 15:42.22, which Pilot alum Tansey Lystad set in 2015.

"Lauren continues to impress me with her development as a runner," said head coach Ian Solof. "This was the culmination of her redshirting the outdoor track season and this massive PR makes it all worthwhile. She and I have lots of big goals for the next two years and I look forward to seeing her reach even higher levels."
