Live television package expanded, while 'Portside with the Pilots' moved to a weekly programming schedule

PORTLAND, Ore. – The University of Portland and CSN Northwest have reached an agreement to continue a package of live broadcasts as well as expanding 'Portside with the Pilots' from a monthly to a weekly programing schedule. The first weekly 'Portside' show is scheduled to air on Wednesday, August 30 at 9 p.m, while a minimum of six home events this fall will be aired live on CSN. The basketball and baseball broadcast calendar will be announced at a later date.
The Portland Sports Network, UP's in-house video department, will handle all production elements for the game broadcasts and shows.
'Portside' will primarily air each Wednesday at 9 p.m. from September through May, with occasional adjustments made due to programming conflicts. The 30-minute program was previously aired on a monthly basis since January 2015.

The combination of a willing media partner and progressive administration has allowed the Portland Sports Network to do remarkable things over the last few years. Our video team produces live and creative content on par with the best in the nation and we are happy to be able to showcase the University to a wider audience through that medium."
The first episode of this year's 'Portside with the Pilots' will feature summer headlines and highlights, a look back at the first weekend of games for soccer and volleyball,
a behind-the-scenes look at basketball recruiting with head coach Terry Porter and his staff, a one-on-one conversation with
UP Volleyball Head Coach Brent Crouch, as well as previews of the upcoming busy weekend of events on The Bluff.
Last Friday's men's soccer match against UNLV was the first televised broadcast of the fall, while Saturday's volleyball match against Oregon State at 6 p.m. is the next scheduled live event on the air.
