PORTLAND, Ore. --- The Portland Volleyball team has been ranked at No. 25 in VolleyballMagazine's mid-major poll, the publication announced earlier today. This is the first time that UP Volleyball has been ranked in any poll.
 
"This is a nice recognition for our team, and it's great to see our progress being recognized as part of the Volleyball Magazine Mid-Major poll," said head coach Brent Crouch. "We still have a lot of work to do in the gym, but we have a good foundation that we were able to show last weekend. We're looking forward to getting back into the gym for practice today to continue to build on last weekend's matches."
 
The only other two teams from the West Coast Conference officially ranked in VBM's poll is BYU who sits at No.2 and No. 10 in the AVCA Coaches Poll and San Diego at No. 3 and No. 17 in the AVCA. LMU, Pepperdine, Santa Clara are receiving votes.
