ABOUT THE PILOTS
• The Pilots come off another historic year, returning eight Letterwinners and four starters this season.
• The program welcomes six true freshmen to The Bluff as one of the top Portland recruiting classes in Pilot history. The newcomers rank in the top-55 nationally and top-three in the West Coast Conference. Red-shirt freshman Izzy Guzik will also be making her first career appearance this season.
• Head coach Brent Crouch is in his fourth year at the helm and looks to build upon last year's accomplishments.
• Again, back with the Pilots are second-year assistant coaches Jeff Baxter and Betsy Sedlak, as well as volunteer coach.
• The Pilots are picked to place third in conference going into preseason, marking the highest ever vote for the Pilots in the Preseason Poll. Senior Hannah Troutman was also named to the All-WCC Preseason team.
• The Pilots are currently undefeated, with two sweeps over Abilene Christian and South Dakota, and a comeback win over Rumble in the Rockie's tournament host Wyoming last weekend. The Pilots were named Rumble in the Rockies tournament champion with Hannah Troutman named as tournament MVP and Reghan Pukis and Carey Williams earning All-Tournament Honors.
• Pukis recorded a career high in the match against Wyoming with 22 kills and currently leads the WCC in kills per set (4.36). The Pilot also rank second in league in attacks per set (11.09), points per set (4.55), and total kills (48).
• Cali Thompson also had an impressive opening weekend, ranking 20th in the nation and third in conference in assists per set (11.73).
