SEATTLE, Wash. --- The Portland Pilots men's track and field team concluded competition at the Husky Classic on Saturday evening, with another top-10 performance and several new personal records.

Junior Logan Orndorf opened up the 3000m by finishing first overall in his heat to set a new personal record of 8:03.96. The time pushes him into the Indoor records at eighth all-time. Freshman Evert Silva, who also ran in Orndorf's heat of the 3000, placed 10
th for a new pr of 8:11.55. Senior Jeff Thies who also ran in the 3000m, in the fastest heat, was tripped in the first 50 meters to start the race, but recovered to finish the race in 8:10.22.

Junior Trent Mazelli also competed in the second section of the mile, finishing second for another new pr of 4:08.49.

"It was a great weekend, I am proud of everyone's efforts," said head coach Rob Conner. "We are close to some major performance, so two weeks from now, the MPSF meet is going to be big!"

The both Portland teams will be back in action on Feb 23-24 competing back up in Washington for the MPSF Championships.
