Strictly Hitting Camps
Dec. 19-21, 2011
Grades 6-8: 8:30 AM - 12:00 PM
Grades 2-5: 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM
This action-packed camp is designed for the youth player and is directed by Pilots' head coach Chris Sperry. The camp is well organized and built around the four components of hitting stressed by Coach Sperry: mechanics, vision, adjustments, and the mental approach. With an experienced coaching staff, proven instruction, and outstanding facilities, PBS can take your hitting to new levels.
Held indoors in the Chiles Center and the Pienovi Hitting Facility, Strictly Hitting Camp is fun and intense. Players get hundreds of swings each day with the highest quality instruction. They should come prepared with batting gloves, bat, and non-marking tennis shoes.

Youth Throwing/Pitching Camp
Dec. 22, 2011
Grades 4-8: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Let's face it: you have to throw well to play baseball. And pitching is about much more than having a windup. It starts with proper throwing mechanics, something critical to every position on the field.
This camp provides players in grades 4-8 the opportunity to begin mastering the technical skills required for effective throwing and long-term arm health. Campers receive instruction in the mechanics of throwing properly from all positions. Additional time is spent teaching pitching from the windup and stretch positions.

Mid-Winter Developmental
High School Prospect Camp
Dec. 27-30, 2011 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Now in its 6th year, this intense and highly comprehensive camp is one of the finest of its kind. Designed for serious college-bound high school pitchers and position players, this camp focuses on each camper's primary defensive position, as well as hitting, base running, bunting, and strength/conditioning.
Because most high school pitchers hit for their teams, we have our pitchers participate in all offensive segments of camp. Defensive focus for pitchers will be centered around grips/pitches, mechanics, pitching strategy, picks and holds, and fielding. Two bullpen sessions and video analysis are included.
Position players will receive massive repetition in all areas of the game, as well as video analysis of their swing.
In addition, information on academics, college admission, NCAA eligibility, recruiting, scholarships, and professional baseball will be shared by experts in each area.
Held on the University of Portland campus, both indoor and outdoor facilities provide the training space in which high-end instruction is provided by professional coaches, scouts, and players.
PBS has taken pride in its instruction for more than twenty years, and we believe we offer an institutional experience that is second to none. In addition to the skilled coaching staff and players from U.P., twelve major league organizations have been represented, including major and minor league players, coaches, and scouts.
Campers will not only be exposed to baseball at the Division I, NAIA, junior college, and professional levels, but will also leave with information that can better prepare them in the classroom.
Pilot Baseball School's top priority is making its campers better, more informed baseball players. Because no camp can guarantee future college recruitment, our only goals are to educate and to provide the repetitions necessary to improve our campers' skills and knowledge of the game. Rester assured that the registration fee you pay delivers on this promise.
