August 20: The Pilots completed the basket portion of the tour with a
74-59 victory over Barking Abbey Basketball Academy yesterday. With the win, Portland finished with a 3-1 record on the trip. Now the guys will relax and take part in some fun tourist activities for the next couple of days before returning home! Go Pilots!
August 19: The team arrived in London yesterday and has now arrived at Barking Abbey Basketball Academy for the final game of the foreign tour. Good news for Pilot fans: the game will be streamed on Barking Abbey's
Facebook Page. Barking Abbey is considered the top development academy in the UK and should provide a stiff test for the Pilots this afternoon. Tip-off is scheduled for 1:45 PM local (5:45 AM, Pacific). Go Pilots!
August 17: What a game! Another buzzer beater to decide a game on this tour, unfortunately the experienced Leicester Riders came up with the last play in defeating the Pilots by an
80-79 margin Thursday night. Portland overcame a 14-point first quarter deficit and led by as much as 15 points in the second half, but the Riders won it on a layup at the buzzer. The Pilots will now head to London and play their final game of the tour on Saturday against Barking Abbey. No video for that game, but stats and recap will follow.
August 16: The Pilots improved to 2-0 on the tour with a comfortable win against a select team of youth players from the Leicester Riders club. It was a good chance for a lot of players to get meaningful minutes in preparation for tomorrow's tough matchup with the senior club.

August 16: It was a fun first game at the Leicester Arena last night as the Pilots bulled off a buzzer-beating win against a select team from Newcastle. Redshirt sophomore Franklin Porter hit a runner to win it, while senior center Philipp Hartwich controlled the paint with nine rebounds and nine blocked shots. Click these links for more details:

August 15:Â Had a great day yesterday. After practice the team visited Belvoir Castle and had a tour and interacted with some friendly birds. We then had a BBQ last night hosted at Charnwood College, where current Pilot Josh McSwiggan spent a few years. A good chance to mingle with members of the Leicester Riders organization and meet a few of the team's players. Today the team will go into game-day mode. We just finished breakfast and arrived at Leicester Arena for shootaround (11 AM local time). Then we will head back to the hotel for pre-game meal and tip-off against the Newcastle Eagles of the British Basketball League at 7:30 p.m./11:30 AM Pacific). Good news for those Pilot fans back in the States. Both tonight's game and Thursday night's game against Leicester will have live video streams on the
Leicester Riders Facebook page.
August 14: The Pilots have arrived in England! A direct flight from Portland to London touched down yesterday just before noon, local time. After a bus ride to our host town of Leicester, the team was welcomed to a dinner at the hotel by members of the Leicester Riders organization. The first practice is going on now at the Leicester Sports Arena, where the Pilots will practice and play for the next six days. Shout out to Joe Pinchin from the Riders for capturing some

July 25: The Pilots announced a
'Send Off Scrimmage' that will be open to the public on Thursday, August 10 at 7 p.m. at the Chiles Center. Fans can get a first look at all of the new Pilots 48 hours before the team departs to London.
Tickets are $5 and all seats will be General Admission.Â
