Portland junior Taryn Kuida fired a 239 and led the Pilots to a third place tie at the West Coast Conference Women’s Golf Championships hosted by Chambers Bay Golf Course. Kuida carded a final round 78 at the par 72, 6,006-yard course on Wednesday and earned All-WCC honors. Portland moved up from fourth place with a final round team score of 329 and 54-hole total of 979.

Taryn Kuida and Paige Rachor both fired 36-hole totals of 161 to lead the Portland Pilots after day one of the West Coast Conference Women’s Golf Championships hosted at Chambers Bay Golf Course. The Pilots sit in fifth place at 650 with 18 holes remaining to be played on Tuesday.

MOORPARK, Calif. --- Portland junior Taryn Kuida, who tied for third place individually, was one of four Pilots to finish in the top-20 as Portland placed fourth overall as a team at the Matador Spring Invitational, which concluded on Tuesday at the Tierra Rejada Golf Club. Kuida shot a five-over par 149 (76-73) to finish four strokes off the pace.

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. --- The Portland Pilots women’s golf team combined for a 36-hole total of 644 to win the Elco Inc. Intercollegiate, which concluded on Tuesday at the Bakersfield Country Club. The Pilots finished eight strokes ahead of runner-up Cal State Northridge.

BEAUMONT, Calif. --- The Portland Pilots women’s golf team opened the 2008 spring schedule by tying for seventh place at the Lady Braveheart Classic, which concluded on Tuesday at Oak Valley Golf Club. Cal Poly, which led the then-second place Pilots by ten strokes after Monday’s opening round, took home the team title.
