Pilots Picked to Finish Second in WCC, Land Three on Preseason All-Conference Team
SAN BRUNO, Calif. --- In a wide-open West Coast Conference, the Portland Pilots were picked to finish second, narrowly missing the top spot in the 2010 WCC Men’s Soccer Preseason Coaches Poll. Seniors Austin Guerrero and Jarad vanSchaik and junior Ryan Kawulok were voted to the WCC’s Preseason All-Conference Team, giving the Pilots a league-high three selections.

University of Portland and True Talk 800 AM to Broadcast Pilot Soccer and Basketball
The University of Portland and Salem Communications have announced a partnership to broadcast all men’s basketball games and selected soccer games live on True Talk 800 AM (KPDQ) during the 2010-11 season, it was announced on Thursday. The broadcasts will be simulcast online at portlandpilots.com and truetalk800.com.

No. 19 Pilots Kick-Off the 2010 Season with First Training Session
PORTLAND, Ore. --- The 19th-ranked Portland Pilots men’s soccer team began its quest to return to the post-season with the first official practice of the 2010 season at the Clive Charles Soccer Complex on Wednesday morning. The Pilots are fresh off a visit to the third round of the 2009 NCAA Playoffs, which was farther than any other West Coast Conference team.

Pilots Ranked No. 19 in NSCAA Preseason Poll
PORTLAND, Ore. --- The Portland Pilots, who advanced to the Third Round of the 2009 NCAA playoffs, are ranked No. 19 in the NSCAA Preseason Coaches’ Poll, which was released earlier this week. Portland, which was also tabbed No. 23 in the College Soccer News preseason poll, is the only ranked team from the West Coast Conference.
