OREGON CITY, Ore. --- With the University of Portland varsity team resting up for postseason competition, the Pilot ‘B’ squad took to the course on Saturday morning at the Mike Hodges Invitational. The team placed fourth among a 12-team field at the four mile meet. Robert Cosby paced Portland with a 12th-place finish.
Oregon took the team title with a score of 15, followed by Southern Oregon (59), Willamette (87) and Portland (95). Oregon’s Andrew Wheating won the event with a time of 19:40.
A total of 10 Pilot runners competed among the 121 total entrants.
The Pilot men’s cross country team will next be in action at the Beaver Classic on Saturday, Oct. 25 at Avery Park in Corvallis, Ore.
