The Pilots (21-1-0) have won the second most games in a season in program history and are chasing their ninth College Cup appearance. The Bruins (20-2-1) are seeking their seventh straight College Cup berth.
Portland defeated UCLA by a 4-0 margin to win the 2005 NCAA Championship, but the Bruins have won the previous two postseason meetings on their home turf. In 2006, UCLA edged the Pilots by a 2-1 margin and followed that with a 3-2 double overtime victory in 2007. Overall, the Bruins own a 7-1-0 record against the Pilots, including a 5-1 mark in the playoffs.
