The men’s and women’s cross country teams head to Palo Alto, Calif., for the 2011 NCAA Regionals.  flotrack.org will stream the event live, with the men’s race beginning at 10 a.m. The men’s team, ranked No. 8 in the country, most recently finished second at the WCC Championships. The women’s team placed third in the WCC Championships.
 
For the men, four runners placed in the top 10 individually in the WCC Championships, led by Alfred Kipchumba’s time of 23:49. Trevor Dunbar just two seconds behind Kipchumba, with Joash Osoro (24:11, 6th) and Lars Erik Malde (24:32, 9th) also placed in the top 10.
 
On the women’s side, Marit Tegelaar and Merel van Steenbergen earned All-WCC honors following their performance at the conference championships. Tegelaar paced the Pilots with time of 21:12 and van Steenbergen finished with a time of 21:15. Kellie Houser’s time of 21:20 earned her an 11th place finish and All-WCC Honorable Mention.
