TERRE HAUTE, Ind.--- In a star-studded field, the Pilot women finished 26^th out of 49 teams at Pre-Nationals today. The women were led once again by Laura Hottenrott who finished 96^th with a time of 21:24 for the 6-kilometer course.
 
Racing without two of their top runners, the Pilots had difficulty maneuvering within the competitive field.
 
"We were without Gina (Paletta) and Natasha (Verma) so this wasn't our best team," said head coach Ian Solof, "We will be ready for conference and regionals just like we were last year."
 
Following Hottenrott was Tansey Lystad  who finished in 106^th in a time of 21:30. The next three runners for the Pilots were Marit Tegelaar (165^th, 21:52), Julia Fonk (191^st, 22:01), and Anne Luijten (193^rd, 22:02).
