PORTLAND, Ore. --- Camden Muller, a right-handed pitcher who spent the past year at Mount Hood Community College, has committed to the Pilots and will join the Portland baseball program as a junior next year. Muller originally hails from Tualatin, Ore., where he attended Horizon Christian High School.
Â
"We're excited to be adding Camden to this class," Portland head coach Geoff Loomis said. "He is a right-handed power arm. He possesses a low 90's fastball and has the confidence to go along with the pitchability."
Â
Muller, who mostly came out of the bullpen for the Saint, notched a pair of wins and two saves last season. He fanned 20 in 22 innings pitched, and he had an ERA of 3.12 against conference opponents. The Saints reached the playoffs in 2016 after finishing on top of the NWAC's South Division.
Â
Previously the righty spent his freshman year at George Fox, where he made 11 appearances out of the bullpen.
Â
While at Horizon Christian, Muller helped the Hawks reach multiple state playoffs. He was named to Oregon's 3A All-State Team as a senior, and he led the Hawks to the semifinals of the 2014 state tourney. Muller notched the win on the hill for Horizon Christian during their victory in the quarterfinals, and he collected three hits, including a triple, in their semifinal match-up.
