Sanchez on SportsCenter Top 10

SAN BRUNO, Calif. --- Portland senior midfielder Eddie Sanchez is the West Coast Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week after scoring twice, including a world class goal that ended up on SportsCenter's Top 10, to help the Pilots win the 2016 ProRehab Classic in Evansville, Ind. Sanchez also landed the tournament's offensive MVP award and was voted to the all-tournament team.
 
First on Friday night, Sanchez scored the first of Portland's two goals as the Pilots came back from two goals downs to earn a 2-2 draw with host Evansville. His goal, which came in the 65th minutes and pulled the Pilots within one, was a stellar overhead volley that landed at No. 6 on that night's SportsCenter Top 10 list. Portland would then add a PK in the 88th minute to earn the one point on the road.
 
On Sunday, Sanchez added his second goal of the weekend during Portland's convincing 3-0 win over Bradley, which allowed the Pilots to claim the team title.
