OLYMPIC DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM: Member of the Oregon ODP since 2003

UNIVERSITY OF PORTLAND 2009: First Team All-WCC … one of three Pilots to start all 23 matches, primarily at the attacking midfielder spot … second in the WCC with eight assists, was fourth in points (20) and tied for seventh in goals (6) … also had two game-winners and was second on the team with 49 shots … scored two goals, had two assists and picked up the game-winner during 5-1 win over Gonzaga on Oct. 25 … second game-winner came against Seattle on Nov. 12, which was a 4-2 result; also had two assists against the Redhawks.

UNIVERSITY OF PORTLAND 2008: Appeared in 17 matches, while making 14 starts primarily at the holding midfielder spot … helped control Portland’s defense en route to four shutouts during the season … took 13 shots, five on-goal, and tallied two assists … handed out first assist of during a 4-0 shutout of Fairleigh Dickinson on Aug. 21 … other assist came at Santa Clara on Nov. 2.

UNIVERSITY OF PORTLAND 2007: Voted to the WCC All-Freshman Team … appeared in all 21 matches, while making 17 starts … helped solidify UP’s backline from his defensive midfielder position … was one of ten Pilots to hand out an assist … his assist came during a 3-0 shutout at LMU on Nov. 11 … also attempted five shots, with one on-goal.

TUALATIN HS: Three-year letterwinner for coach Eric McClellan … named First Team All-State as a senior and earned First Team All-Pac-6 honors all three years … voted team MVP as a senior … helped lead the Timberwolves to three straight postseason berths and a league title in 2006

CLUB TEAM: Won state titles with the Southside Soccer Club (2000) and FC Portland (2002, 2006) … advanced to Far West Regionals with FC Portland in 2007.

PERSONAL: Born on December 11, 1988 in Portland, Ore. … parents are Roiann and Ted vanSchaik ... major is operations technology management (business).
