Men's Hoops Races Past CB Gran Canaria 111-70

The Portland Pilots cruised to a 111-70 victory over CB Gran Canaria Saturday night in the fourth game of the team's five-game Spanish Foreign Tour. The Pilots jumped out to a 61-29 halftime lead and had six players finish in double figures in the victory. Tanner Riley had 18 points for Portland, while Bobby Sharp added 17 to lead the way.

Portland improves to 2-2 on the tour, with narrow losses to the Angola and Venezuela Senior National Teams in Madrid. The Pilots bounced back with blowout wins over CB Select on Thursday and tonight against CB Gran Canaria in the Canary Islands.

CB Gran Canaria consisted of a group of local players with ties to various club professional teams throughout Spain, including three players with ACB experience (First Division Spain).

Portland will play its final game of the tour Sunday night against CB Select with a 7:30 p.m. local tip-off. The team will fly back to Madrid on Monday and then return to Portland on Tuesday.
