The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, SAAC, serves as the intermediary between the student-athletes, their teams, and the athletic department. The committee structuring provides a platform for the student-athlete voice and perspective within the department. Guided by the desire to better the community the committee is dedicated to service, leadership development, and fostering community connections throughout the athletic department, campus, and the greater-Portland community.
DIRECTIVES
• Foster relationships between varsity programs with aim to increase the sense of community within the department and support at home competitions.
• Commit to improving the community - within the department, campus, and city - through service and initiatives.
• Advocate on behalf of all student-athlete, this Includes, but is not limited to facilities, wellness, time demands, and any items within the department that directly influence the student-athlete experience.
• Promote a positive student-athlete image on campus and in the community.
