Men's Hoops Concludes Foreign Tour with big win over CB Select

For the second straight day the Portland Pilots broke into triple digits with a 111-48 victory over CB Select on Sunday night in the final game of the team's five-game Spanish Foreign Tour. Tanner Riley led six Pilots in double figures with 20 points as Portland concludes the tour with a 3-2 record.
Portland previously played the senior national teams of Angola and Venezuela to one possession games late in regulation to open the tour in Madrid, but ultimately lost by a combined eight points over the two games. The Pilots bounced back with three blowout wins on the Canary Islands, two over CB Select and another against CB Gran Canaria.
CB Select put up an early fight on Sunday as Portland led 26-21 after the first period, but the Pilots would run away over the final three quarters with the best shooting display of the five game tour.
The Pilots shot 58 percent from the field and made 9-of-20 three-point attempts. Sophomore guard Bryce Pressley opened the game with back-to-back threes and finished with 19 points. Junior transfers Volydymyr Gerun and Bobby Sharp added 16 points apiece, while Kevin Bailey and Korey Thieleke added 10 points each.
The team will get one final night on the island of Gran Canaria before traveling back to Madrid on Monday. The group will then fly back to Portland through Philadelphia on Tuesday to conclude the trip.
